Acceptable Use Policy

Last Updated: July 16, 2026

Trellis is a product of Thready LLC (dba Trellis Ads), a Utah limited liability company. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Trellis advertising analytics platform at trellisads.com (the "Service") and is incorporated by reference into the Trellis Terms of Service.

By using Trellis, you agree to this AUP. We may update it from time to time; material changes will be communicated as described in Section 6.

1. Authorized Use

You may use Trellis only to analyze advertising accounts that you own or have explicit, documented authorization from the account owner to analyze. You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to connect any third-party platform account (Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta Ads, Shopify, GA4, or others) to Trellis and to share the data those platforms expose to us under your credentials.

If you connect a platform on behalf of another business, you represent that you have written authorization to do so and that your authorization remains current for the duration of the connection.

Authorization standard. "Written authorization" means a documented OAuth grant initiated by the account-owning email address, a signed authorization letter, or an equivalent durable artifact. Verbal authorization and chat-only authorization do not satisfy this requirement.

2. Prohibited Activities

You may not, and may not permit any third party to:

3. Agency and Multi-Account Use

If you use Trellis to analyze accounts on behalf of clients (for example, an agency relationship), you represent that you have written authorization from each client to access, analyze, and process their advertising data via Trellis. You remain responsible for that authorization and for the accuracy of any representations you make about it to Trellis.

4. Reporting Violations

To report a suspected violation of this AUP, contact [email protected]. We treat reports as confidential to the extent permitted by law and applicable contractual obligations.

5. Enforcement

Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund, removal of offending content, legal action, and notification to law enforcement where appropriate. Trellis will use reasonable judgment in determining whether conduct violates this AUP and will, where practical, provide notice and an opportunity to cure non-egregious violations before suspension.

Repeated or egregious violations — including any conduct that places customer data, the Service, or other customers at risk — may result in immediate termination without prior notice.

6. Changes to This AUP

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Trellis service or by email at least 14 days before they take effect, and continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. AUP changes may take effect on a shorter timeline than other policy changes when needed to respond to emerging abuse patterns, security threats, or platform policy updates.

The date at the top of this document always reflects the most recent revision.
